Highways meeting
Discussing Tingewick Road bridge and the flow of the river.
On Monday, August 11th, FA4B held a very constructive meeting with Chris Anousis (Acting Network Operations Manager, Buckinghamshire Highways) and his team to discuss the flood risk challenges facing Buckingham. We focused on the importance of regular clearance and maintenance of drains, gulleys, culverts, and highways (bridges) given their crucial role in reducing the impact of flooding.
The discussion was open and collaborative, with concerns, information, ideas, and actions shared. We look forward to seeing these actions progress in the coming months, working towards our shared goal of mitigating the flood risk in our town.
Our thanks go to Chris, Casey-Jane, Mat and Simon for taking the time to meet with us, listen to our concerns, and show their commitment to supporting Buckingham. We look forward to building on this positive partnership.
